Student loans forgiveness a slap in the face to millions

I'd like to share a little about my college debt experience with you in light of the recent news that the Biden administration is considering student loan forgiveness.

I was the only one paying attention as I sat in the financial assistance workshop during Northeastern University's student orientation at the age of 18.

I wasn't very diligent, I just didn't have someone to talk to or a phone to mess about with.

Because Northeastern offered me a partial scholarship and had a study abroad partnership with the American University of Paris (AUP), my favorite university, I was able to attend there.

The amount of debt I'd have to incur to graduate from AUP was not worth an undergraduate degree from any institution.

I chose Northeastern University as a result of her advice to look into its sibling institutions.

I had an epiphany while in the financial aid workshop: even with the kind scholarship offered, I would still be incurring astronomical debt.
