GM is “ramping” Hummer EV production by building 12 units a day

Currently, 12 GMC Hummer EVs are being made by GM per day.

Although this may appear to be a very little amount in comparison to the output of businesses like Tesla, it represents progress for the seasoned manufacturer and its enormous all-electric pickup truck.

In a recent article by The Wall Street Journal, sources at GM claimed that the business's Detroit-based facility was under threat.

The facility, which GM modernized for about $2.2 billion, currently only produces 12 GMC Hummer electric vehicles per day.

In the meantime, the number of Hummer reservations has increased to little over 77,000 automobiles.

Customers may end up waiting longer than expected for the truck they reserved as a result of this.

Although the Hummer EV is bigger than the F-150 Lightning and Rivian R1T, it is still a larger vehicle.

The manufacture of GM's more affordable Silverado EV, however, is still more than a year away.
