Gas Stimulus Payments: When will you receive these direct payments?

Gas prices have been growing quickly across the board in the US for the most of 2022.

Thankfully, the rising prices have slowed down in July and have even started to decline as they become more affordable.

In several states, legislation controlling gas tax reductions or pauses has already started to be enacted.

Tax breaks have been proposed in 20 states at the moment. However, only seven states have so far given their consent for the pause.

Despite the tax moratorium being approved by California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New York, and Illinois, the average price of gasoline nationally as of July 8 is 4.696 dollars.

In April, Connecticut residents stopped paying the state's gas tax at the pump.

The 90 million dollar motor vehicle fuels tax was passed in March. As a result, everyone filling up was charged 0.25 dollars more per gallon.

Its original June 30, 2022 expiration date has been changed to November 30, 2022.
