Transfer Round-up

According to The Athletic, Chelsea are confident of signing Rafinha.

The Blues are believed to be preparing a £55million offer to field the Leeds United winger.

But Chelsea are still hoping to agree a deal to sign Raheem Sterling to go with the Brazilian star.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have reportedly made an approach for Feyenoord defender Tyrell Malasia.

The highly-rated left-back is expected to move on from Feyenoord this summer, with several clubs linked to the Netherlands international.

French side Lyon had reportedly reached a verbal agreement on a deal to sign Malasia, who has already played 136 games for Feyenoord at the age of 22.

But the move is now in doubt amid reports Manchester United have entered the race to sign the defender.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claims United signaled their interest in Malaysia before Lyon signed a full deal with Feyenoord.

In other transfer news, Newcastle have agreed a deal in principle to sign Lille centre-back Sven Boutman.

Boatman, who has undergone a therapy at Tyneside, has agreed to terms on a five-year contract, according to a Newcastle statement.

The total fee for the defender is in the region of £35m, with Newcastle saying “the transfer formalities” will end this week.
