Tammy pushes Kane… – but will pull for him too

Tammy Abraham is set to push captain Harry Kane for his England spot – amid links from Arsenal and Liverpool.

But even the former Chelsea striker for Roma would be happy to understand the man eyeing England’s all-time scoring record.

Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate challenges 24-year-old Abrahams to prove he is the right striker to keep the pressure on 49-goal Kane as he chases Wayne Rooney’s record mark of 53 is – or even takes its place.

Abraham said: “I think that’s the mindset you should have for every player – to be positive.

“Of course we are all discussing for Harry, we want him to break records and we are always here to support him.

“Whenever I am given a chance, if I am on the pitch with him, I will try and help him reach his goal.

“But for me, whenever you get the opportunity, just try and hold it with two hands and show what you’re made of.”
