Gorgeous red-brick family home sets tongues wagging with bizarre feature – but can YOU spot it?


A beloved family home has garnered a lot of attention on Facebook — but maybe not for the reason you might expect.

It is located close to the popular town of Crayford, which boasts its own theater and greyhound racing track.

But the reason people are talking about the house is not because of its architecture or location.

Adrian Kielbowicz noticed a very strange feature – and shared a photo on the Facebook group S*** London, captioning: “The most useful is the balcony!”

At second glance, the house has a balcony – but no way to reach it.

It is placed above the living room window in a nice sunny spot.

Unfortunately, there is no door or ladder to the mezzanine, making it completely useless.

Social media users additionally used estate agent lingo to poke fun.

One quipped: “Bijou, al fresco, south-facing flat”, before another stands out: “‘Giant house with balcony’ probably gets a few more quid on the property estimate.”

One commenter branded the feature as “hair con-y”.

Another said: “I think it’s actually quite thoughtful.

“The builder clearly knew the plumber would be going back for the afternoon pleasure and made a safe haven for the husband if he came home early.

“Very thoughtful brother!”

It’s not the only home with wonder that will double-take visitors.
