good morning chelsea fans
Chelsea boss Todd Boehli held a meeting with Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo, Jorge Mendes’ agent, in Portugal last week.
The Blues boss has stepped down as interim director of football to help the club with its transfers after transfer guru Marina Granovskia and chairman Bruce Buck left earlier this week.
The Manchester United star’s future remains uncertain as the player is being linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
And according to The Athletic, Ronaldo’s future at United as well as a possible move to Chelsea were discussed when Bohli met Mendes in Portugal last week.
The 37-year-old Portugal international has 12 months left on a two-year deal he signed when he rejoined Man Utd last summer.
Chelsea are in the market to go ahead with the club’s record this summer, with Romelu Lukaku set to return to Inter Milan on loan.
But as things stand, United intend to keep the legend ahead.
Elsewhere, it has been suggested that the Chelsea club is the ‘best place’ when Ousmane Dembele sees his contract at Barcelona expire.
Marca claim Dembele is getting closer to leaving Nou Camp when his deal expires after Xavi played late for making the Frenchman appear too little, too late.
Reserve goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has also announced his intention to get more playing time, pointing to a possible exit from Stamford Bridge.
